Stewardship

Matthew Young teaches that because God created everything and owns everything, people are stewards rather than owners of what they possess. He names the consumption assumption, the belief that whatever I have is for me, and then applies stewardship to two areas: time, through James 4 and the reminder that our days are numbered, and money, through 1 Timothy 6 and Jesus' teaching on treasure in heaven. The message encourages students to practice generosity now, while they have little, so they are ready to steward more later.
