Jonah 2

Matthew Young follows Jonah to the bottom of the sea, where the fish is revealed as God's salvation rather than his punishment. From Jonah's prayer he draws three truths: God is always providing and pursuing even those who run from him, God is always ready for repentance no matter where or how brief the prayer, and God is rich in mercy. Jonah's longing toward the temple points ahead to Jesus as the true mercy seat and atoning sacrifice, and the message closes at communion with the sign of Jonah pointing to Christ's death and resurrection.
