Familial but Differentiated

Feb 8, 2026    Konnor Massa
Konnor Massa teaches from 1 Timothy 5:1-2 that relationships in the church are first familial and secondarily differentiated. He traces the New Testament's pervasive brother and sister language and Jesus' redefinition of family around those who do God's will, then calls the church to a love and intimacy far deeper than scheduled gatherings. In the second half he addresses how men and women relate as siblings in absolute purity, offering practical wisdom on matching intimacy to commitment, avoiding one-on-one ambiguity, being clear about intentions, and viewing dating as a process of evaluation toward marriage.
