Image of God

Matthew Young opens the RelationShift series by grounding every relationship in Genesis 1:26-27 and the truth that all people are made in God's image. He draws out three implications: humans are made for relationship because God exists in Trinitarian community, every person carries inherent value regardless of usefulness or preference, and the image of God in us is marred by sin so that we all need Jesus, the perfect image of the invisible God. The message closes with a call to see roommates, classmates, strangers, and dating partners as image bearers to reflect God toward rather than objects to use.
